Where to walk, what to eat and how to spend 48 slow hours on the Kent coast โ from our concierge.
Day one
Arrive, drop your bags, and take a walk along the Royal Military Canal before dinner. It is the easiest way to shift into Hythe pace after the journey.
Return through the High Street for a drink at the Cygnet Bar, then settle into Swagat for a table of sharing plates, curries and warm breads.
Day two
Start with a slow breakfast, then head towards the seafront or take a longer coastal walk if the weather is clear. Hythe rewards unplanned wandering: independent shops, quiet corners and sea air are all close by.
In the afternoon, choose between a relaxed drink, a nap upstairs or a return to the canal before dinner.
What to book
For couples, our boutique rooms make the weekend feel contained and easy: dinner, drinks and bed are all under one historic roof.
If you are travelling for a celebration, book dinner at the same time as the room so the team can keep the evening smooth from check-in to the final drink.
Local favourites
Ask the team for current walking routes, tide-friendly seafront tips and the best quiet time to explore the High Street. The best Hythe weekends are simple, local and unhurried.
